Who do you trust for used car reviews?

I've found a truck I'm pretty interested in. Price is reasonable. Mileage is reasonable. Truck is in great condition. It's an 05 frontier with the NISMO package. Problem is that 05 was a transition year. Consumer Reports blasts it. Other reviews aren't as bad. Looks like the real issue is the transmission cooler is tied to the radiator and somehow the two are known to leak and intermingle causing death to the transmission. There is a work around, but the one terrible review from a reasonable source is enough to make me worry. Anyone know anything about these trucks? Got a used vehicle source you trust?

I almost bought a Frontier from carmax a while back. The salesman steered me away from it. I know the Titans have alot of problems but I thought the Frontiers were relatively reliable. I wasn't happy with the rear seat room from what I recall (I think I needed a rear facing baby seat space). The newer body style tacoma had more room, but the frontier probably had more room than the earlier tacoma.

I sold my 05 tacoma to carmax for 9500. I bet the will sell it at one of their saturday auctions coming up!

Everybody that I know that has a frontier likes them. I take it, it's an automatic? If it was manual, I wouldn't worry about the transmission.

Consumer reviews say Nissan is in the top 3 in makes for reliability I believe.

Um...what?
