The wind blew the roof off of the little wood shed we have. Some quick tarp work took care of that, but my wood isn't going to be as dry as hoped.
The power was off in town this morning when I drove through, but the lights are still on at work. 🙁
Nothing real major, just more of an inconvenience at this point.

hmm. let see.
1. garbage day, and just like fred said, some of the trash fell right out of the can into the street. one of the bags had a fresh batch of cat poo and when it hit the street it broke open and the poo and litter went everywhere. the driver just drove away, so i went out and shoveled wet poo and litter into a bucket. also there was enought water in the street to make the litter act like plaster. so it was real messy. 😡 another reason to hate cats.
2. the canopy on my metal gazebo is now torn to shreds. looks like it went thru a tornado.
3. the small garden tool shed on the side of my house blew over
4. my fence is hanging on by a thread. i used a ratchet strap and wedged some wood to help support the constant wind gusts.
5. the new trees we planted, the support posts are no longer supporting.
6. jasmine trellis blew down.
7. i have a significant roof leak that is dripping into my bedroom. good thing its not over my bed!
8. frigin tv brodcasting keeps going out!
9. the power went out at work. today is my day off so i dont even get a free overhead bill day!!!!
ok. i think i'm done. hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

Well I am at work right now, there is about a foot of new snow in the last few hours and we are expecting another 3 to 5 feet over night. With the wind, you can't see more than 50 feet.
As far as our house in Newcastle, Sue said we lost a few trees and one of the trees took out a large section of our front fence.

I finally have power again...
It went of yesterday around 9:30 at work and 11:30 at the house. At work, operations has a generator to power their side of the building, but we don't. They wouldn't let us go home so I sat in the dark for hours until it was time to leave. It got pretty cold and there were no lights in the bathrooms!!!!! 😯
At home, I almost had to use my posse training and set up the PET since we don't have water when the power goes out.
Aside from some tree branches and losing my wood shed entirely, the only real problem I have is that the underside of the house is flooded. The genius that dug the thing out for whatever illegal activities he may have been undertaking down there dug right up to the foundation. When it started to rain hard it filled up the enitre area and was about to go everywhere. Our hot water heater is down there. I managed to get a pretty good siphon going with a hose and appear to have reached a point where as much is flowing in as I am siphoning out. I almost had to sacrafice my super siphon to make sure it didn't flood too much.
At least we're not in Fernley! Flooding in freezing weather is pretty scary.

HOME:
We lost an old antenae that is no longer used (the wind actually did me a favor).
We lost power Friday morning and it isn't expected to be restored until Wednesday night at the earliest.
We've been using the wood burning stove and lanterns through the weekend. Pretty crazy!
WORK:
We lost power 14 times in less than 24 hours, it was an IT guy's nightmare. We also had 2 100+ foot tall trees get blown over next door which blocked the road out in front, it was pretty awesome.

No way. I'll bring the porta pottie to the meeting and you can store it from now on!
Give it to the new trail master. In fact I'm bringing the extra trail sign and the club banner for them to hold too.
I used to wheel a lot. . .

It's pretty funny. They are on a seek and destroy mission. They are randomly tearing apart the parking lot trying to find the break. Doesn't anybody have blue prints 🙄
They started in the easy spots. When they ran out of planters to dig into they started to tear up the asphault. We now have three large holes in the parking lot. I'm guessing there will be a few more before they're done.
