Dear Santa,
I've been a fairly good boy this year. I've helped to stack rocks for those with lesser built rigs (poor Toyota owners), I've pulled out my strap when people got stuck on those big nasty rocks (learn to drive already), and I was very patient when others broke down on the trails (Rob?). I even tried to not laugh too hard when everybody swamped their rigs in the river crossing on Fordyce (Dang that was funny).
So, this year I would like the following;
I need a new heavy-duty tow strap, mine is getting a lot of use and is starting to look pretty worn out. I would also like to have a new pair of leather gloves, stacking all those rocks has really made my hands rough and dry (my wife hates that). And finally, I would like one of those big comfy camp chairs with a foot rest and a drink holder. That would make it so much more comfortable at the Hammers when I have to sit and wait for Rob to fix his rig. But the thing I want most of all is, a renewal of my AAA towing service, because I know the wheeling gods will get back at me for posting this and I'm looking at a major beak-down in my future
Thanks for whatever you bring me this year Santa, I know I'll enjoy it. If you get you sleigh stuck, don't call me unless you have appropriate tow points on your rig.
John
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Come on...where do you think Santa attaches the reindeer? The tow points duhhh. I'll work on my letter... 😈
That covers the front, but what about rear recovery points? I've never seen reindeer attached to the back of Santa's sleigh.

Mine did the same thing except mine isn't cheapo. It's the "heavy duty" version. I guess that just means it leaks lots of fluid instead of just a little. 🙄

Close enough!
The brand is Omega. Bought it through Amazon but sold by ToolTopia.
http://www.amazon.com/Omega-27035-Quick ... 142&sr=1-2
Shipped freight was only $7.99 for around 200lbs with jack and stands on a pallet. Arrived in less than a week.
I wanted something that would last. It always seems like the cheap jacks always go out in the middle of a project after you've already spent a bunch of $$$. 👿
I'll let you know how it holds up. First project will be to replace my leaf spring bushings. 😀

I've got the aluminum one from Harbor Freight. Love the light weight, lifts really high. Coupons can get it for $60. Its worked now for a year, but a friend got one that was broken out of the box. I mainly use it on cars, so I don't know if its up to handle 4x4s. Really, the light weight will spoil you.
