We are on upgrade time for our phones. We are on Verizon and have had no problems in the last 2 years. Been running the infamous Motorola Droid, yea the original. Still running great and not going to change plans b/c we have unlimited data plan, which anywhere is all gone now. 😛
Anyways, what are you running now as your pocket rocket?

I have a Pantech Breakout. It's adequate at best and I'd look elsewhere if I bought a new phone, but it is 4G so it is pretty quick when I have coverage. Battery life is pathetic unless I don't use the phone then it's only below average. 😀 I also have a bunch of dust under the screen since I "keep it in a dirty environment" (my pocket).

I run an HTC Evo and it is amazing! Bigger screen than IPhone, faster, checks two email accounts, easy to web surf, check stocks, check the forum, etc.. Takes great pictures the video is pretty good too. Has an 8 gig sd card which I have tons of songs etc on. The really nice thing is you got options for content. I purchase primarily through Amazon MP3 cause I can transfer to my plc and burn to disc ( if people still do that) but primarily for less licensing restrictions. Works great with office files I open and edit on the fly, can be hotspot has 4G. I've had it almost two years now and can't imagine a better phone. I heard they have a new 3d version on the EPIC. That's just insane.

Correct. That is a negative with this inexpensive mobile app. However, Tapatalk is looking to provide support for it, just no timeframe stated.
Short term workaround is to hit the button "View in Browser". Course you'd only know this if the original post clearly stated that the thread included a Poll.

Its a poll to say what your mobile is. So you'd pick Other.
Thanks buddy!
I read the question wrong I assumed you wanted a recommendation on what to buy. Mine is an Android system so I voted Android.

Oh no...another reason for John not to like tapatalk. 😀 Pretty soon I'm going to owe him more than the App cost for pain and suffering.
I got my $3 worth out of it. I now forget I even have it.
You only need to get $1.50 out of it. I told you I'd split it.

I had never heard of a Pantech Breakout. Thanks for the submission.
On the note of 4G, it's been my impression that 4G is not widely available. Like only in big metro areas. Does Sac and surrounding really have 4G...? I've heard comments that "advertising" has been chaulking it up to: "4G" but it really means "4G capable when in an area that supports it".

My son loves his iPhone 4S. He's had to return it due to speaker problems, but they gave him a new one on the spot.
I love my Droid, and the multitude of free apps, but I've had to take mine back for replacment as well. I think smartphones are extremely conveient, but have a long way to go in regards to reliability. Now I know why IT guys are always afraid of Software updates....

I have a really nerdy friend that was explaining to me that 4G does not really exist and that it is more of a sales pitch for a faster 3G. I can have him post on here to explain it. I just find it funny that companies will tell us that our phones are 4G when 4G hasn't really been tangible yet.
Um...what?

Yeah, it's basically the same technology but the operating speeds have been increased for 4G vs. 3G. Now, how fast at any given location can vary greatly and some cities have it and some don't.
If your familiar with Wi-Fi specifications, the operating parameters are the same for 802.11a, b, g and n BUT operating frequency and speed are way different as are operating characteristics.

4g is real. Careful what you hear. Trust but verify. Companies are spending billions to upgrade networks. This requires new cellsite hardware and backhaul. You need a 4g phone and need to use it in a service area that has been built out. Tell your friend to check his position with a licensed electrical engineer.
