I still have one of the original 3G's. The new Iphone 4 looks to make the 3G and 3Gs obsolete. The camera, video, video calling, resolution and all the other apps and functions look pretty good!!!!!! I am just hoping that Apple can keep the delivery date to the 6th to 8th. They already bumped it from June 24th due to far more orders than expected

Stick with the Droid until you get a jeep 😀

I got my new Iphone 4 yesterday and had to take it to the Apple store today and have it replaced. The camera and video camera didn't work. As soon as you started to move the phone to capture a photo the camera would freeze and lock up the phone. According to Apple, it was probably a loose connection inside the phone. Other than that, it is a huge improvement over the old 3G series phones. It is much faster and the resolution is incredible. I did have the reception issue "Death Grip" but once I put a case on the phone the reception problem appears to have stopped. The speed of the applications is amazing compared to my old phone!

Gosh there's a lot of choices on phones. I've decided to go with a $99 3G touch phone and $40 month unlimited voice/data from metro PCS. Next up from there was ATT with a used iPhone, then on to a 4G phone from metro PCS. Total cost for a 2 year period was: $1200/$1500/$1700 respectively. Metro PCS does not have a contract, so if that doesn't work out, I'll try the iPhone. Reviews of the metro PCS 4g service claim its not really as fast as 4G should be, so maybe things will be better in a year.
