My desktop computer is giving me trouble. The computer connects to the router but won't connect to the internet. Everything else (phones and iPad) connect to the same router but they make it to the internet. Any ideas on what to check. I've done the obvious restart and unplug type stuff but I have no idea where to even start.

You might try turning off Windows' firewall or antivirus software to see if they're causing the problem. I wouldn't recommend leaving it that way though.

WooHoo! I got it. I have no idea what was wrong but I did a system restore to the middle of last week and I'm good to go again.
