I guess you know that the Shasta OHV area is burning, and some of the staging area is burnt also. Major damage.

I want to start a pro-active process to get repairs, tree plantings, etc going so we have materials, supplies, seedlings, etc ready to go in the Fall.

I understand money is available for restoration like this for fires, so we need to get moving on this, and other BLM areas that offer OHV recreation opportunity.

I will be sending a note to Daphne Greene to see if help is there, and also the clubs and district 36, 4 WD clubs etc to give $$$ and labor where needed.

While the ground is still smoldering, we need to start moving on this statewide to get every OHV group involved.

How do we start, letters to be sent, calls, etc. How can we help you?????????

Also, at Shasta, a coordinated event with USFS, BOR & BLM and users.

Do we need to set up a meeting for a planned attack for restoration.

I will be sending a letter to Congressman Herger, Doolittle and Lungren for assistance on their end. I need details from you. I will also contact Reg 5 of the USFS for their take, especially on areas where checkerboard land includes BLM, USFS, county and BOR for a full on restoration effort where needed.
