I wanted to inform you that we will have a briefing on the Travel Management Project on Tuesday, 12 February, at 12:00 pm. To access the briefing follow the instructions below:

Well, it was a large conference call. ENF had about 5 people onsite and there must have been 30+ people on the call.

ENF expects to release their Final EIS and Record of Decision on March 31, 2008. At this time, the forest supervisor has not made his decisions so there are no details to share.

There were over 6000 comments to the Draft EIS. There were 1100 original substantive letters and 5000 form letters. The form letters were primarily from three web sites. Two of the sites were pro-ohv access one against.

After the release of the Record of Decision, there will be a 45 day appeal period followed by a 45 day period for ENF to respond to the appeals. Following the appeals process, ENF will be working with us to develop an implementation strategy.

Starting today, the bi-weekly phone briefings will be resumed.
