I do not see Fordyce or the Rubicon getting anymore traffic than normal. 90% of the people who normally wheel trails like Strawberry and Deer Valley don't wheel trails like the Rubicon, and I can guarantee they don't run Fordyce. They will just find alternative easy trail comparable to Strawberry and Deer Valley. Most of the people who wheel Barret already wheel Fordyce and the Rubicon, so they won't impact anything. The morons at FOTR better come up with better arguments than over crowding other trails.

Reading that some folks are unhappy with CA4WDC, FotR and perhaps others, maybe we as a club should discuss getting behind an advocacy group. The key would be making sure the group IS effective and then we REALLY get behind them in term of volunteering our services, setting time aside to do something positive and supporting it with $$$$$.
As I'm new to the operation of these organizations, I'd love to hear which has the best track record.

Well, I've supporting CA4WDC, FotR, BRC, Tread Lightly and probably a couple of others I can't recall at present.
For no more than the cost of annual dues it does get a lot of voices heard. And each has all or part of the message I want carried regardless of effectiveness.
If everyone is talking, someone is being listened to unless the minds of the bureaucrats is already made up ... then it doesn't matter anyway. :soapbox:
