Day 2 of shorting the bed on the zombie truck.
Brent cut off the excess frame then notched it so the bumper could slide over it and be welded at the back.
You can see how the bumper slides over the frame so it can be welded.
This is the slots on the back of the bumper that alow for welding the bumper to the frame on both side of the bumper.
Brent welding the bumper. We had to remove a cross member this bumper is also a cross member to strengthen the frame.
Brent welding in the strip metal to help fill the gaps in the sheet metal when he welds it back together again.
Stitch welding the side of the bed and the finished weld.
Here is the finished bed with a little comparison of my stock short bed dodge and Brent's bed that has been shortened 10"s.
There is still work to be done but the hard part is finished.

Put it in Dale's truck. But seriously, you could just toss it in the bed when you go wheeling and not mount it anywhere.
For now thats what is going to happen. But soon the fuel tank is going to be mounted in the bed to make room for the doubler setup. So after that with the tank and tool box back there I'll pretty much be a jeep for space.
