I agree, if you cant do the job with a bottle jack a basic hi-lift has always worked for me (but it rarely gets used, it's a last resort). Just be sure to learn how to use it right, they can be scary if not used right.

Yes.  Hi-Lift is a brand name.  just an FYI.  They make multiple models in various lengths.

In the past I recall you saying that you use a bottle jack. I have been having trouble locating one tall enough to use with even the 35inch tires I am planning to run. Would you mind dropping a link to an example of what you run?

Correct.  I do not carry a hi lift.  I carry a bottle jack.  I don't recall where I bought my current one (Likely amazon), but in the past I purchased one from walmart on line.

Bottle jacks only need to lift your axle.  Not your frame.  And you can simply stack flat rocks to raise the jack starting point.  I used the bottle jack for 40s.  So they certainly work for anything smaller. and my current bottle jack will work for my upcoming 37s.

hi lifts have to lift enough to cover your suspension droop.  bottle jacks just raise the axle.  I also carry a tire plug kit  I have used that so successfully that I actually carry that kit in my daily driver as well rather than a spare (but my DD has a built in air compressor too).

I have a bottle jack kit with extensions and attachments that allow it to go taller if needed. I have used the cradle attachment many times to lift axle tubes at home and on the trail. I am pretty happy with the kit and it also comes with a handy carry case to just throw in the rig. So far it feels like a lot higher quality jack than I have purchased in the past, but it looks like prices have gone up since I bought it.

That’s amazing!   But. That price. Whoa!

Here is the one I use.  It cost just under $100.

Yeah I have a SafeJack also.  Got it for Christmas luckily.  Haven't had to use it yet as I also carry a small 1.5 ton harbor freight floor jack on more difficult runs. The floor jack has been used many times and you can't beat the ease of use.
