I'm building a new tougher rear axle with extra armor and all new insides, so needed a shop to set the ring and pinion. I was referred to a Gear and axle shop by a parts house Guy that races cars. "Jaws Gear & Axle".

I had called most of the other usual "diff shops" and it was we can't get to you till February.

I called Jaws Gear & Axle and they said, bring it right it down, 3 - 4 day turn around time.

Now price........ They quoited me a price for the same work $100 less than the others. Even if they were the same price, the quick turn around time is a huge deal.

Yesterday I went down in person to talk to them and was very impressed, I asked if I were to put the locker "lunchbox" in and bolt the ring gear on would it be less? What impressed me was that Jim said "NO" He said if I'm going to put my name on any work I'm going to make sure everything is absolutely perfect, and I would take it apart anyway. Some may think "well that's not right" but have to understand, what Jim told me in that answer is he takes extreme pride in his work.

So today I took the pumpkin and parts down today, I will have my rebuilt Differential around the middle of next week (3-4 business days)

Tell them the Suzuki Samurai Guy sent you:

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Have used them for a few setups in the past.  No complaints about the work or price, just prefer Sean at River City since he is a wheeler like us and donates back to the community.  But turn around time is a big issue these days and was the whole reason I used Jaws last time.

Update on the Diff rebuild. Received call this afternoon Diff is done, ready to pick up. Quick turn around time, Dropped off Friday afternoon, Done today (Tuesday) with the holiday stuck in there.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.
