So, fully built JLU with 60s, suspension, etc., $70K - $80K?!
I think used JKUs are going to hold their value for quite a long time!
Not to start a "Jeep vs Toyota" thing, but: if a built JL costs that much, that's getting into the same cost level as a loaded Landcruiser, isn't it? I mean, if you're going to pay $80k (with taxes etc) for a JL, paying another $10k or so for a LandCruiser that seats 8 is . . . well, unless you love Jeeps and hate Toyotas . . .

I guess if it's to cruise the mall. I've never seen a late model Landcruiser on the Rubicon.
But at that price, I may never see a JLU out there either.

Land cruiser 200 series is very nice but IFS and IRS combined with a near 6,000lb empty weight really limit it to 33" tires. (Figure ~8-9k lbs with bumpers, winch, camping gear, and a couple of people) Not really a rig for narrow Cali rock crawling which is most of our trails.

I just hope that Jeep doesn't expect to cut into Toyota's Tacoma market with these super high prices. If a Tacoma is $8,000-10,000 less, I know where I'd spend my money...
You better change your avatar to Jeep unless Toyota is cheaper...
They are crazy expensive, I bought my JKUR for $35.5 brand new off the lot and said I will never pay that much for a 4wheeling rig. 3ish years later and we see these prices. All for the name of comfort? With that being said, who's going to be the first one to show up with one at the club???
Um...what?

I went to Jeep.com and built the most basic JLU Sport and it came in just under $32K MSRP, not including taxes and fees. It would probably be around $35K out the door.
My JKU Sport was around $27,400 out the door.
wonder what the 3.0 ecodiesel will add to that . . it may not (prob not) will be available to add to a "sport" level, it may require some very expensive package to be added.
