Do we think there is snow at Sack Paddle Pass? We could go from Sack Paddle Pass to Silver Fork up to MET and then play around there. Meet at Fresh Pond at 8am?

8am?! Don't you sleep?!
Let's meet at 8:30am in Fresh Pond and head out by 9am.
This will be a whole run on 1/1 and not a half run on 1/2.
We can head up to Packsaddle Pass and see how far we get. Or Sackpaddle Pass if we follow Greg.
You can lead...I really don't even know how to get there anyway. We just needed a plan.
P.S. I'm dyslexic
Um...what?

We had a great whole/half run today! I just got home. The first half of the day was slow going because the powder was deep and would not pack down. Those cutting the trail (thanks Kevin and Jeff B) had a lot of back and forth driving. After our lunch stop, we went down to wetter snow that packed easier and made better progress. Thanks Dale for cutting trail there.

Sorry to my posse family for not making it . When I went out to my jeep and started I got a check engine light with a code of P0421. It has to do with the cat converter? Again sorry for not letting anyone know we couldn't make I hope I didn't hold you all up too much.
I had a cat code, ended up replacing all my cats.

Well looks like there goes the gear money
Gil, do me a favor and call and ask for Zach (the owner) at Applegate Garage. You won't find a better and more reasonably priced mechanic and shop. Tell Zach that your a friend of mine and I suggested you call him. Pick his brain because he will tell you all the options for the code. Even if you don't take it to him for service, it will probably be worth your while to talk to him because he can educate you about what it might be wrong and about your options. I had a friend in Sacramento bring his 85 Toyota truck to Zach for a cracked head and Zach saved him $800 or so over what he was quoted elsewhere.

P0421 is a nothing emissions code, dont let it stop you from wheeling. It is a bank 1 downstream 02 sensor issue most likely. Switch the downstream sensors between bank 1 and bank 2. If you then get a P0431 then you know the 02 sensor is bad. If you still get a P0421 then either a plug is fouled or the bank 1 pre-cat is failing.
