WOW. What an amazing trail. Went in the Loon Lake side, camped at Spyder Lake. Couldn't have found a better camp spot. Was showing a friend of mine my new rock lights, next thing I know we are headed for Little Sluece!! With Gabe riding and spotting we only laid it on it's side once, drove out of that, drove up the wall and pivoted around a big ass rock. BOOM! We had made it! He was so excited (even though he has done the Rubicon many time he had not tried the sluece) Took a few tries but he also made it.
Next day we were on Upper Sluece, I think, and I sheared the bolts out of my high steer. Still had one bolt in and 2 sheared off, we were able to extract one, find a sort of fittable bolt, and had a wire feed welder along (thank God). Was able to fix it well enough to limp back to camp and home the next day.
In Tahoe now spending a couple of days. Will post some pictures later.
Special thanks to Justin. He had PM'd me a couple of times and even got to meet him and a couple more of your group. Great guys. Come to Boise, ID some time and we will show you some of our trails.
