Looks like they filled the 10th and 11th class so they opened up for a third. Post up if you can make this one. The 25th is a MET patrol but go to the class if you can as there is currently no snow so MET patrols may or may not happen.
Class has been canceled due to snow. New dates TBD.

Class is free. Wear boots and jeans. Bring chaps, helmet, eye protection, ear protection, and a saw if you have one. Everybody has brought their own stuff but they have extras of everything. I would bring your own saw though as that is what you will be using out on the trail.

A couple of the guys in my class showed up with well used saws and new chaps for the second day. Pretty sure they had been sawing for years without them.

Guilty as charged. Wore then as required in the fire service but never wore them when cutting on my own.

I dont even have a chainsaw.... I keep putting off getting one (and the gear) because if I have it, I will want to use it every single chance I get... and would hate to attract attention of forest service without a chainsaw cert. So i have been figuring I would get everything after I have the cert...

If anyone needs to borrow gear for the class let me know. I have extra chaps and saw helmets with attached ear and eye protection. I also have an old cheapo saw i havent touched in years that can be borrowed if i can get it running.
