Offline I'll talk to Marc on Monday or Tuesday and ask him for the official word. Remember that Dean has the final say, but I was updating Marc throughout the day with our numbers. We, as a club, out numbered every other club in attendance by more than 2 to 1. Also, we, as a club, out ordered every other club by more than 10 to 1. These number support a winch, so we'll see.

Offline Whatever winch I wind up with will be on a platform for receiver hitch.
(1) Can be used front or back after disconnects are installed on both ends.
(2) Out of weather and road conditions.
(3) Secured inside vehicle or garage when not being used.
At least they SEEM like good ideas.

For pulling yourself out of the mud or snow, it might be kind of a cool idea.
But the first time you're stuck halfway up Winch Hill #1, or precariously hanging by a single knob of tread on your tire from the ledge on Wrecking Ball, your butt puckered to the seat, not wanting to move an inch and shake the vehicle loose, pleading with someone to put down the stupid camera and pull your winch line, saving you from a certain roll-over; You're going to wish your winch was permanently hooked to the front of your vehicle...and so will the guy that has to rummage through the back of your rig trying to find it and hook it up before your vehicle slips and crushes him 😯
