The small, but very fast Hydro boats are going to be at Lake Minden this weekend. Saturday April 30 & May 1st.
Five bucks to get into the park to watch. There will be a BBQ going on, so you can get purchase hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. If you really feel like sticking around, there is a band playing in the evening, out by the barn.

You can walk right thru the pits and get up close the boats and drivers. Some of the faster boats have been clocked at 90 mph plus on this little lake. The cracker box boats last year hit a top speed of 105 mph. the red boat that you see in my avatar hit 89. 8) OH YEAH!! Like an E ride at Disneyland. 😈
