I'll already be up at Dark Lake and will meet whoever shows up at the gate. Just start calling for me on channel 10, I'll have my CB on at the cabin which is less than 40 yards from the gate.
Typically runs on the 50 side meet up at the Starbucks in El Dordado Hills right off of 50. Once you guys agree on a meeting place and time, I'll have a better idea of what time you'll make it to the gate at Barrett.

I decided to go to the clinic instead. Enjoy, Richard

Everything seems fine but they ran the drive monitor test with the wrong parameters. It should have been done with the factory 160 amp alternator. Anyway, I'm not going to show unless I'm satisfied it is ok. If I show it will be early. I will post and pm before I leave town friday. If I'm not there when you want to go leave with out me as I will have another rig with me if I show. I would count me as a no.... don't be surprised if I show up, but don't count on it. How's that for wishyyyWashyyyy? Back to taking my!!!!!!! apart again to reinstall computer pigtails.

well if its any consolation
1)
i would be the weak link
my xj is my daily driver and im on a budget so it will take time to build
and we have a saying up on bcjc if it breaks it needed to be upgraded anyway
im 3 inch lift 31s and open open (pretty weak if you ask me)but just starting
2)
the trail boss issue is new to me
someone posts a run wether it be a day or two in advance or a month
whoevers going shows up and we go as a group every one in , every one out
we always helped each other we never placed status on a leader
we were a group didnt matter who was 1st and didnt matter who was last
dont want to offend anyone or step on toes as im new here
just my 2 cents

Sorry to hear there's more work to be done Joe. Hopefully the problem is easily found and corrected.
I think I'll abandon the whole Barrett trail idea for this weekend, maybe take a nice easy ride through Strawberry; you know, a maintenance pre-run 😉

major work is done. Just some fine tuning of shift points and pressures to match the new stuff that had to be replaced with the ele connectors. Beggers beware! If you borrow someones trailer be sure you know how wide your jeep is. Mine is a little over 88". Had to overinflate the tires and winch it on(in). Time for a nap.

FYI, if I read the thread correctly, there isn't any one going but WPadilla. Might want to take a second and reread it just to make sure. Would hate to have you show up and wait on nobody coming.

Barrett looked like a parking lot of broken axles and rigs getting strapped and drug over rocks, and was also full of hunters because of Deer Opening Day. I did see the JK's Brad mentioned, pretty nice looking rigs!
Went to Strawberry where we saw a guy in a Suzuki talk his buddy with a 2010(ish) Toyota Tacoma 4 door long bed into running Strawberry. We found him (seriously) high centered on V-Rock, strapped up to his "friend's" Suzuki who was about to try and drag him the rest of the way over. I walked them up to squeeze rock and asked if he thought he could maneuver through without causing more damage.
They decided to jack the truck up and stack rocks so he could back down off of V-Rock and head back.
The trail looked to be in pretty good shape. you can tell the snow runoff was heavier than most other years (a lot more exposed rocks). It appeared someone has been doing maintenance and placing logs strategically to keep people on the trail.

I met up with Bob at the gate. The group was already breaking out the winch. There were 6 more rigs behind me so I desided this was the wrong place to shake down a new crawler case. I headed over to the old Rubicon where I only saw two other rigs. The 200:1 ratio is night and day compared to stock!
