Good News!!!
Below is an email exchange between myself and Lester at the DOF. He was hoping to have a draft copy of the Environmental Impact Study available to talk about, but unfortunately it is not yet available. However Kyle will be attending our January meeting to discuss the 2013 season! Lester would like to attend our February meeting provided the DEIS is available.

To me, Catherine, Kyle
George – Kyle will be at the Jan 10th meeting and hopefully can join in your discussion about your 2013 kickoff. Hopefully we will have the DEIS out by your Feb meeting and I will join you at that time. One other topic for the Jan meeting might be to discuss the upcoming OHV grant cycle and ideas the club may have to share with Kyle. Thanks and hope to see you soon.

Hi Lester,
Thank you for your reply! I would still love for you, or one of your colleague's (or all of you) to come if possible. Kyle has mentioned some opportunities in the last few months for our club to work on other trails, also to provide assistance on trails during the summer.
We would sincerely welcome any assistance to the FS, and would love to be part of anything that aids in promoting safe and responsible land use. The members of the Gold Hills Posse are very interested in chatting about these opportunities, especially since we are kicking off our 2013 club year.
Please let me know if you might still like to attend, as well as attend when you have the Draft EIS. We'll buy dinner of course!
Thanks and best regards,
Lubetkin, Lester -FS

Good news!!! Here is Kyle's reply:
Hi George. Sounds Good! Yes green stickers are allowed when snow covers MET as well as 4x4’s. It’s basically closed to two wheel drive vehicles during winter. Just let them know they have to stay on MET and not go off the road unless they are on snowmobiles and there is enough snow on the ground. Believe it or not, but there was a logging company still taking logs out of Alder Creek! The company plowed up to Light Canyon Road. They finished just a couple of days ago, so they’re done plowing, but until we get another good storm, the snow wheeling is pretty lousy up to Light Canyon. Also, MET is closed to any wheeled vehicles after Silverfork and MET. We groom MET from Silverfork up to HWY 88 (Silverbear Snowmobile Trails). It gets a little wild up there on the weekends also, so use caution. We have law enforcement officers patrolling MET and will write tickets, even for non-OHV related stuff like registration, etc. I attached our Forest Order. Have fun and be safe!
