December 5th!
This Run is for a great charity!
This is our clubs 10th + year donating toys and raffle funds to The Highlanders Toy Run For Christmas Promise.
We will meet at the McDonalds near Hwy 50 at Hazel Ave. 830am. At 9am we will caravan over to the folsom aquatic center and line up along the far right side of the parking lot. There is a Starbucks across the street if you need coffee or hot chocolate to get you going!
This year the club will be purchasing several items to donate. All that is asked of attendees is you bring one new, unwrapped gift valued at $5 or more. Club members are encouraged to bring something fun that Kids would enjoy.
This event has an attendance award for clubs so be sure to sign in under us for credit! We won attendance last year! Also. There is a raffle for the cause which is fun as well. They have food items and a Santa for the kids too!
First timers can partake in the parade or bring RC cars to play with during the parade time. Camping chairs and warm dress are encouraged for the fun. Blankets help as well.
this event happens rain or shine!
The toy run counts as an event for those of you considering member or prospect status as well!
If you are a member or prospect, go check our member section on this forum. The club Christmas party is this same day. Look there for details!

Ok, I finished building all the big wheels for our donation.
It took me like 4 hours! We should have had a build party...
Thanks to my daughter for doing the stickers! Otherwise it would have been an all day event.
18 - 36 month helmets are a good idea as David suggests. 50/50 boys/girls, but more helmets are always a good thing.
One week!! Bring friends and family, and a couple bucks for their raffle and snacks. It's all for Christmas promise!
Everyone be sure to sign in under our club!

Brad! That's silly u did all that work by urself (even though it sounded like a good father-daughter build party!). We are clueless what all u do for this run but we are learning and we could have helped u!
Our club makes a club donation, and each member brings a gift. Some items take longer to build, like bicycles one year. Then our club shows up with a pile of toys and wins a bunch of raffle items!
For first timers, bring a chair and a blanket, along with cold weather clothes for sitting around. We bring RC cars usually.

Brad does do his fair share around the club here behind the scenes. It's a thankless job, but he does it because he loves us...It takes a lot of effort from club officials to keep this wagon rolling. The best way to thank them is to run for office!!
Um...what?
