Snow level was indeed < 3000'. Good 1" or so a mile after Placerville.
Rick (his first time up here) and I made it up there roughly 1:45. Sac Jeepers were on Snow Patrol. I met Dana at the checkpoint. He saw mah GHP sticker, then said, where is your CAL4WD sticker? I honestly said I have not gotten around to getting it yet. The GHP stickers just made it on there recently themselves.
Rick and I pulled over there to air down. Dana asked me how many rigs on our Snow Patrol and I said something like 10-15. Then he asked when and I was going to the next meeting, to which I said 2nd Thursday and Yes. So he brought me a stack of decals or something that are for our Snow Patrol participation I guess.
Snow was packed to mostly 1.5 lanes but clumpy still. Not as good as our Snow Patrol last month. The ruts we made Friday night were gone. 😥 aww shucks. It wasn't too much of a zoo, but there were stackups on 2 grades. We only rolled in to about 12 miles or so before turning around due to another stackup on a grade.
As we came out, I ended up pulling a dodge truck out. It was on a grade and he slid down into the ditch on the low side. I don't know how/why he was let through as he had bald street tires. I encouraged him to only go to top of current grade for the family to play out in the snow.
Photos to just see what the conditions were. Was still fun to go and Rick was all smiles.

Sweet, he was going to leave them up at the Kiosk for me. If you have them, I won't need to run up and get them. Thanks!
