just got back, there were a lot of people up there. saw some sick wheeling up the hard part of the stair steps. fixed someones d35 axle, fixed someones oil pan, and temporarily fixed my rear passenger brake. darn backing plate bent like a taco, not form a rock and im not sure what happened. im going to put discs on it and ditch the shoes. it was great weather and fun campfire chat

Poor Connor. 🙁 He was calling me to help find him a D35 shaft Saturday night. I couldn't do much from where I was at. I'm glad to hear you guys got him going again. Last I heard from him was a phone call late yesterday afternoon asking how to take a Detroit Locker apart. 😯
Sounds like a fun trip other than the carnage.

with at least 6 of the jeeps using dana 35's, one would carry spares
Just look around rigs when you air down and ask them if they have spares. if not, tell them they aren't prepared for a run.
Breaking a D35 on Deervalley is frustrating. The trail isn't that difficult.
I wouldn't run with a rig that has a D35 on either the Rubicon or Fordyce. I probably would have trusted them on Deer Valley however. I guess I'll add that to my list!

I would say if it's a stock D35, definitely NOT. I've run both on my old D35 with 30-spline chromos, ARB, 35" or 33" tires, and carried 30-spline spares. Fortunately it survived long enough until I replaced it. 😀
