Well I guess we should have posted we got home so all would know, pardon our thoughtlessness.
Talk about a perfect day! Made it to the river on the Fordyce intro run and sat and relaxed in the cool sun while the river raged below. It's flow rate was quite high. There was no way a vehicle could cross. We ran into some friendly youths prior to reaching the river who moved over for us to pass. As we were eating lunch they were headed down and one of their rigs (there were two, a Toyota and a jeep) had a tie-rod break while still on the trail. Darrell spent some time up with them to see what was happening and we began to think we might need to use our sleeping bags! Lol. They did manage to get it fixed enough to get back up the trail and to a place it was not in the way. They also managed to call a friend for help.
We made it off Fordyce around 1:45 to air back up but four rigs decided to go to signal peak. So we tooled up and saw the amazing view from up there. It was windy and cool but very doable. We all walked out to see the "creepy" railroad flag shelter thing! Totally cool!!! There was snow on and around the trail (a little bit) so we decided it was our first official snow run! Then from there we found (actually Kevin found!) a great pizza place for some much needed supper!!
It was just a perfect perfect day. Weather was just right, and besides Gil losing his tie-rod bolt (which Paula found in the middle of the road!!) and Razor having universal joint issues (which prevented him from getting to come along, which was sad!) it could not have been more of a story book!
Thank you Kevin for organizing this. All of it from beginning to end. These are the days and the friendships that make this great American life a blessing.
Lastly, to Razor and his friends, we are very sorry you guys had issues and wound up not being able to make it. But, thank you for knowing your situation and being mature enough to make those good decisions that keeps everyone safe, you guys especially!

Thanks Lynda for the write up. I haven't had a chance yet. One correction, it was Gil's track bar bolt.I'll second the thanks to Rayzor. I was going to mention that you guys could ride along but you were gone before I knew it.
I still would've said no. Thanks to everybody for the gracious thoughts
the truth is a very good friend died and they were having a celebration of life for him which I was trying to avoid ( I'm really not good with death). The Ujoint was the 4th thing that day telling me where I belonged.
God works in strange ways
glad everybody had a great day and jeep is up and running fine
