Good to hear. I hope my comment above wasn't taken the wrong way. I'm not looking for a speed run. If it is getting dark by the time we get to commitee crossing, I'll need to bail. I have early meetings on monday.
Closed Mondays.

I don't bring much. What sized tires are you running? Do you have longfields? If not, I'll throw in my spare birfs, but I usually don't carry them. Do you have a front locker? I normally carry hubs and nuts and bolts. I'll pack a little heavy if you don't have spares.

i heard of birfs being a problem so thats why i switched to ifs.
i just usually use what bender has. he's kind of a boyscout so he normally packs heavy. i dont usually bring anything but a spare tire, highlift, and some tools and i still endend up using bender spare parts and tools.
i think if i had a list of parts to bring. a spare rear driveline and axles (in my case half shafts) would be one of them.

Alex, I know what you mean, I often use Rob's spare parts for trail a trail fix. I do return the favor once in a while.
The best thing to do is make sure everybody is carrying "something." Between the bunch of us driving Jeeps, we can ususally find something to get it fixed. Hopefully somebody is going to carry a pitman arm, mine got used last time 😛
I used to wheel a lot. . .

35's, but i dont think the birfs will be a problem. No i dont have longfields, but i think they will be a upgrade eventually. No front locker either. I think that the gears will go before anything else, 5:71's 😯 I didnt put them in, the guy i got it from did. But thats probably the next thing i will upgrade.

You'll be fine.

I'm not convinced 5.71s are really as big of a deal as they're made out to be. I don't have any first hand knowledge, but this really feels like an internet myth to me.
Have you seen this? It used to be a much better write up, but it looks like he's working on redoing it: http://www.gearinstalls.com/410suck.htm
I'd worry about the installer more than the actual gear. If he did a good job, I'm sure you can find other things to spend your money on.

SN4WD (formerly most of the old Norcal ttora gang) is running Rubicon 7-9 and there are a few, including a couple from out of state, who would realy like to add this trail to the trip.
Water is running around 100 to 150 until the end of summer.

John, Sue and I will be at Bakers Square at 6:15 for breakfast for those of you wanting to join us. My plan is to roll out of there at no later than 7:05 a.m. and be at the trail head by 8:00 a.m.
It looks like Mark and NorCal will meet us at the staging area.
See all of you there.

You could drop your doors off at my house on the way up. It might be a little chilly for the hour drive from there but, at least you wouldn't have to worry about them.

I hated wheeling with doors until I installed a lap belt. Now I can lean over far enough to see my front tires. It's nice to be able to roll up the windows and turn on the heater if it gets cold. But, I know what you mean, wheeling with no doors and no top is much more enjoyable.
