Gee, its been a tough year. The Rubicon run collapsed, Club Camping Trip cancelled, whats next, the Christmas Party??
Right now we have Barrett on the calendar for Sept 24. The HiLanders predict the trail will dry out and open in the first two weeks of Sept. So its a maybe for Sept 24th. We also have a Turkey Shoot on Nov 5th. I've been researching it and the Eldorado National Forest is very plinking friendly. The rules are clearly outlined on the website and I should be able to find a location without much trouble. I'm thinking that we might have a Chili Cook-Off and potluck with the shoot.

Looking inside from the outside and being an old member, one thing I have noticed about the club thus year is that members are wheeling, just not with each other. This club used to be pretty active and close...is it just me seeing this?

The root cause of the Rubicon Run failure was obviously lack of participation. Earlier runs this year were due to weather.

I'm going to give it another try also. I wonder how much traffic there will be between 1 and 5 am?

Thanks Rob, could it be that some club members might actually be involved with other clubs and runs. Not that there's anything wrong with it. We do have a smaller membership, so participation is really needed to make things happen. Scheduling runs on the third weekend of the month might not be a good idea since that is when most other clubs do there monthly run.
