Mark your calendars1) Sledge Hammer (night run) 8)
2) Jack Hammer
3) Outer Limits
4) Wrecking Ball 😈Every trail gets harder
Strict rig requirements
You know I will be there 😀
Rig requirments will be
1. 37 inch tires minimum
2. Front and rear lockers a must
3. Spare front axle parts (U-joints, stub shafts)
4. Working winch (make sure it works before you leave, because you will need it!
5. Roll cage is a must
6. Working rock lights for the night run
7. You must not be afraid to dent or break your rig, and you must be willing to listen to your spotters (not an option)
Dis I miss anything John or Justin?

I am looking for a "U-Haul style" dolly for my jeep. Please start looking for one. I intend to dolly my jeep down behind my truck. I don't care about the tire size requirement on the dolly because I will put some small temp tires on for the ride back and forth.
Do 60's need u-joints and axle shafts? 8)

When I was looking at my towing options, I found several dollies for sale on Craigslist. Have you checked there?
I was thinking about the rig requirements. I think the requirements that Rob posted above should be for the trails that John posted that we are running only. There is plenty to do down there for less built rigs including rock crawling, sand dunes, exploring mines, etc.

I do not plan to run wrecking ball on my first time down there. I'll go as a passenger. I need to work up to these!

John's alive! 😀
You I-80 Crawler types have too many rules. I just want to wheel.

Suggestions? Make the "listen to your spotter rule optional" or I'm out early. If I would have told my spotter to "shove it" when my gut told me to I wouldn't have flopped. Heck, if I listened to someone that had ridden with me a fair amount I would have backed down. Instead I listened to someone with an ego that knew the trail. If I'm driving I'm responsible for my safety, I'm responsible for my rig, I call the shots. That rule isn't flexible.
Can we talk about towing capacity again? 😀

Well said! The Hammers has some rugged wheeling, but there's also opportunities to do other things.

Funny you guys make all these rules, and then give the rest of crap for not going. 😡
Starting to sound a little like the JU board.

I think the rules that Rob put up are valid, for the trails they posted they are running. I personally felt like my Jeep was a little inadequate on a few of the spots on Jackhammer and Outer Limits, especially when my winch failed. And, I was happy to have a cage in some of the spots we got into.

Valid point!
But you can't be afraid to listen to a spotter. There are spots on Jack Hammer and a lot of spots on Outer limits that if you don't listen to your spotter, you will roll, get massive body damage, or spend all day trying to get up a waterfall...
