Pickett Peak and Hawkins Peak trails are rated 3 - 4, easy to moderate, on On X maps....both trails are off the Burnside Lake trail, junction of Hwy 88 and 89 in Hope Valley, and about 5 miles each in length. I have not been on either of these trails, so a bit of exploration. Hawkins Peak is about 9200 feet, I would expect the trails open and snow gone by July 18.
We would meet at the Fresh Pond gas station 8:30 and head out around 9:00. We would go over Echo Summit to Hwy 89 to Hope Valley and the Brunside Lake trialhead. Lunch on one of the peaks or at Burnside Lake, would expect to be off the trail around 3:00.
