will they fit a size 17 boat i mean boot?
With a foot that size you don't need snow shoes. 😀
Yep sounds like you already have a pair of skis attached to your ankles
doubt the snow shoes will fit. i think they are only like 18-20" long

I was told REI rents them for $10 if you pick them up Friday evening and return them Sunday morning. They'll throw in poles free if they're available (if they haven't run out of them)
Seems like a pretty good deal.

We're home and unpacked. I'm uploading pictures as I type this. I'll post a url when they're available.
We had a great turn out for this event. Mark said he counted 16 vehicles. We outnumbered the number of vehicles that passed our counting station by more than 5:1. 😯 The weather was great other than a short period of some wind, but even then it wasn't bad. Sue, Teddi and I went snowshoeing for about an hour. We estimated we walked about 1.5 - 2 miles.

I believe we are all home and safe now. Sue and i had a great time and we even returned to our tradition. Ice Cream after a run. ( Also picked up Pizza on the way home.) I believe Fred gave the Vehicle count. It was a nice Quiet day. A few of us found out about a loose nut or two, I broke a 9/16 heim on my rear trackbar ( had 2 years on it, I think it was due ) I believe that was about it for the carnage or drama. Someone else will have to report on the uphill-hill run, I was lying flat on my back after an ice capades vs toontowne type fall and did not attend. Special thanks to Don for keeping the vehicle tally. Patrick,Jeff,Todd,Josh,David and Lisa it was a pleasure having you join us. George plans to capture the King of the Hill title on next months patrol. We will be needing challengers. Did anyone take-out the snowman or was he the last one standing ?

I was heading back down the hill and starting to feel some grinding. I couldn't tell where it was coming from so after airing up Joe jumped in the passenger's seat, we drove a little ways, heard the grinding when I took my foot off the gas, and Joe knew right away it was in the rear. Put it in front wheel drive and the grinding was gone. Drove down to the station area and removed the rear driveshaft just to be safe. With the driveshaft off we were able to determine that the rear pinion nut was loose since I was able to turn it by hand. 😯

I think it was about 6 vehicles that went up the hill. Me, Bob, Jeff, Josh, Patrick, and Richard. (let me know if I missed anyone.) I led the way and had to be strapped out once after playing in the soft stuff on the sides. About 50 feet later the same thing happened to Bob. 😀 We continued on for a while until we came up to a group that passed by us earlier in the morning. They were digging out and the snow was getting soft so we turned around and headed back to camp. On the way back we ran into David heading up. He turned around and headed back with us.
