We did not run out of gas and there were no "chili incidents" that I am aware of. Don led 10 + rigs to Ice house resort, there was not much going on at that time so off we went. We decided to give the road to Wright's Lake a try. After we aired down (except Mish who wanted to see how far he would go without) Scott volunteered to lead us in. We figured that when the 14 bolt sunk and he was stopped it would would be a good time for the rest of us on mini tires to turn around. I wish I would have stopped about 600' shy of him instead of 100'. After some digging and winching we backed down the hill about 600' and were able to turn around. My bad stunt driving in reverse allowed Kevin to show off his driving skills again. Except for my little bout of tourettes when my front arb solenoid failed we all made it back with out any drama. Meaning we didn't have to stop and get out and look like cartoon characters while slipping on the ice. When we got back to the resort the cook off was winding down so we did not get to witness it in is full glory. We still got to sample free chili and make donations. It was some of the nicest weather I have ever experienced on a snow run. Sean,Steve,Jeff,Bob,Josh and others ran with us for the first time. Hopefully they will join us again in 2 weeks.

I was wondering if wiring the power backwards could just leave the switch powered.
On the run I learned that the locker was off while the light was blinking and only engaged when it was solid. I think your wiring idea may be the problem.

It was member Bob. He is also planning to make the road patrol with the large fire pit again. It puts out some HEAT!
We had several new/newer members on the run and several kids as well!!
We had a lot of TJ's, a JK 2-door, a couple YJ's and an FJ. We had new drivers and even newer passengers. Don brought a co-worker who had NEVER been in snow before!
The Chili cook off was disorganized and a huge dissapointment to me. We walked up to the first table and asked them what to do. They offered no help and were even a little rude. This is even after we asked who we could donate money to!
It would be Sooo easy to fix that fiasco. How hard would it be to say, "$5 gets you a wrist band, a large cup, a spoon and a voting in sheet. Each table has a numbered sign on it. There is a box at the end with a lid on it, you put your votes there. It's not too hard...

We made it about half way to Wright's Lake about 5 miles in. As far as the first time runners I failed miserably as a club officer. I did not have the required waivers or even know I should carry them with me. I listed them based on the names I could read on the back of the form ( Received as inheritance from Brad- thanks ) I asked them to sign. I'm sure Larry and Sue will do a better job of this in the future. My true feelings of the cook-off were not suitable for print. Richard chose not to attend. I heard it was a limited slip problem in the front. He may have a belville clutch type unit that leaves lots of metal debris when they fail, but I don't know much about toyota axles.
