is anyone going anywhere this weekend? Up into the mountains somewhere preferably. I have no plans and need to get out at least one day this weekend. maybe just some scouting, or sight seeing, or even some fishing. working tonight so i'll check back in late, but can be ready for the morning

Offline I'm thinking of trying to go out to Ellis Creek for lunch and coming back through Wentworth Springs on Sunday. That would make it a Rubicon loop run, I know it will be busy. But I need to see how much work I get done on Saturday. I'm not gonna be in town for the Rubicon Day run and like you I want to get out. Ill post up asap on Sat to let anyone that wants to do lunch on the trail....

We may be up to going on Sunday. My daughter is in town from College and we would like to get her out on the trail. what would you say the difficulty rating is of this trail?

i don't know the rating but i'm pretty sure its not too difficult. I'd be in for this tomorrow or anywhere for that matter. I'm still trying to get back up to Ellis peak. maybe next weekend

Offline We are going to be heading out at 8:00 am. Heading up to Mt. Watson out of Tahoe City. Going to hit some of the trails and do some exploring up there. We plan on having a late lunch on the lake at Sunnyside. Let me know if you would like to try and meet up.

Offline I made it home about 730 it was fun the traffic on the trail wasn't bad we ran into two large groups going out. The weather was great a little windy at times but other than that it was a good day. We made it to Ellis creek in about an hours not bad. I got a little rock rash on the passenger side 
. I guess that's what happens when Bettys not with me. It was just Dave, his son and I one more rig and we could of called it an official club run . And don't worry Dave I wont tell anyone you went wheeling in flip flops

Offline Gilbert, tell someone when I don't wear flip flops lol. Thanks for taking the lead on the trail and making me feel a little more confident that I can make it through. This rock crawling business is still new to me. Added some new scratches underneath but the rig is still dent free. momma's happy about that. That was a lot of fun!! And I was in Elk Grove by 8. I don't think we left Pollock pines until about 12:30 so that was pretty fast I think.
