Second chain, sharpening tools, chaps, and bar oil added to the chainsaw crate.
Brad, can you ask the forest service guy about taking some of the downed logs we cut? Could I take them under a firewood permit as they are naturally fallen trees?

You can take the wood with a permit.
We will probably need to confirm cutting days going forward on trail maintenance because of dry conditions.

Guy and I are looking at our remaining summer schedule. We, and others are looking forward to trying to finish this project. Summer is ending way to quickly! I don't know if you've had time to schedule the second half in your schedule but if not, and I don't mean to step on any toes, Guy and I can help coordinate the second part (along with a lot of help from others). We can look at the options of the last weekend in Aug or the beginning of Sept (depending on Dustpan's camping trip to Plummers Ridge)... Just a thought and an offer....
We can chat at the meeting...all this, of course is open for discussion, just thinking of helping out...

As much as I enjoy cutting brush, I will not be able to make it. I am obligated as my fatherly duty to spend a week in Hawaii for my daughter's wedding. She gets married on September 12th. I will think of you all while I am having a drink (or 2) on the beach during the reception.
