kind of a last minute trip and day trip at that . I going to run long canyon and strawberry pass on Friday July 3. Standard vehicle requirements, at least 1 locker , 33” tires . Meeting at the shell in pollock pines at 0800 and leave by 0830. Let me know if anyone is interested.

You know Tim, to be honest, we considered going, but on a 3-day holiday & people wanting to get out, we thought better. It might be clear & fun, or it could be a multitude of rescue missions & "wait to pass by" exercises. I think if this were any other time, it would be worth going, but I hope we're wrong for your sake, if you still decide to go. So we're going to pass. But thanks for the thought though. If you go alone, be safe, enjoy & let us know you get home OK.

Thanks Dale for taking us up and over Strawberry. Tim couldn't make it due to work, so the three of us (Dale, Tim's friend, me) headed up to Strawberry from the Shell station. None of us know much about Long Canyon so we decided to run Strawberry.
Fun day. Weather was great. Didn't run into any yahoo's. Everyone walked right up and over everything today. Ran into a nice group/club out of Vacaville of about 5 rigs while eating lunch at the top. I recognized one guy from some of his YouTube 4x4 videos. He runs with the Nubicon guy named Matt. Good folks. Good videos. Thanked him publishing them since I find them helpful when doing research for new trail runs.
The only fail today was my air hose while airing back up. Glad I had a backup air hose under the seat, so no problem. Nice day out on the trail. I hit a bit of traffic on Northbound 49 heading back home towards 50, but not bad.
