We are heading to Moab for EJS at the end of March. This lines up with the kid's spring break so it couldn't have worked out better if we tried. We will be driving up and staying for most of the week if not all 8 nights. I wanted to see who else was planning to go and see if a convoy is possible. We are looking at getting a condo for the week since its barely more than a hotel and it will be nice to put the rig in a garage at night. Tell me what your thinking if your going.

Man, that sounds like fun but I've got a few more months of getting things straightened out at work before taking any prolonged leave. I hope things will change for next year (KOH, Moab, etc).

I haven't looked in to my kids' spring break schedule yet. The condo idea is pretty smart. I hadn't looked in to prices for that option.

I might be game but its a really expencive drive out there towing a trailer. something like 16hrs each way. I have been a bunch of times when i lived in CO and its a blast. the only thing i can think of is it is really early in the season for the safari and might be rainy and cold out there??? then again it was 80 here in LA today so maybe it will be warm by then
If anyone has a double Jeep trailer and a Diesel rig i would be down to split the expence of getting there and back.

I think that is a great idea. I don't have a diesel and trailer but would be willing to split gas and the rental of such items. Not to mention renting a condo is much cheaper if split. If we can get a big group we could split a 5 car hauler or something and just have the jeeps delivered to Salt Lake City and avoid the bulk of the drive.

We looked into a hauler for the Hammers trips. It was expensive and the pick-up and drop-off window was huge. You just don't know when they will have your rigs there.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I'm doing a motorcyle touring trip with my dad. Partially thinking of making this a stop. Bikes are sport touring so no dirt allowed. I think weather would be fine since its western slop-ish, but time will tell. I have a question though and that is whether the events are accessible via hiking? Do ppl broadcast open seats? Anyone able to comment on the staging or areas/access/etc.?

Thanks
