Anyone interested in hitting Prairie City in this Sunday afternoon? They are hosting a vernal pool tour from 2-3 then I was thinking about tooling around in the mud afterwards. I need another club event...help a guy out!!

The last time I hit Prairie City mud, I was cleaning up afterwards for over a month in dry weather. I'll pass, but thanks Nic for bringing it up.

I am open to go out for a couple hours. I WON"T play in the mud, but there are areas that aren't so much muddy. I can watch others in it.

Any other club members willing to go out and help out Nic to get a run in?

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

I've been going to Prairie City for a long time, that mud turns to concrete.  So wash it off as soon as you leave.  I would go, but I hate that mud!

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

If there are places to not get muddy then let’s do that! I’ll be at the vernal ponds until 3 so if we can meet up in that area then play around where there ISN’T mud that would be cool.

Nic

I'm meeting Nic at the upper restrooms in the 4x4 area at 3:00pm Sunday 3/26/23 going to go on the new and old rock sections and stat "OUT OF THE MUD" Would be nice to have a couple more club member vehicles to make it a official run. Again NO MUD there are new rock trails that were built. thumbs-up Before 3pm mention "Goldfields" and get free admission.

Nic talked about the Vernal Pool Tour. I didn't know about these so I checked them out on the PC web page. Go to ohv . parks . ca . gov / prairiecity  (takeout spaces, won't let me copy & paste) type in "Vernal Pools" in search, or click on links on web page.

If anything at least read about and check out the Vernal Pools and learn about one of California's rarest and most threatened freshwater ecosystems - Vernal Pools.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

If the weather holds maybe I can stop by to help the count. I'll see how dry it remains until Sunday afternoon.

Sorry Nic I can’t make Sunday. But Saturday is the club snow run if you can make that it’ll be a club run.

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

My apologies.  I will be out of town and likely not back in time to help out.  Sorry.

Remember that it's runs or events.  We could do a group Costco dinner/shopping trip to count as well!

What a beautiful day to be out in the sun.  Had more fun than I expected and there wasn't that much mud, easily avoidable.  And the new course they built is really neat.  It is a nice path with a rocky section right next to it, so you can play on the rocks or just ride the trail.

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I was finely able to get a pic of Scott climbing the steep spot on the back area from Lori's phone video.

That is where I high centered and had to have Nic pull me up.  Feels a lot steeper in the Jeep.

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!
