I am planning on going out to Prairie City on Sunday at 1pm to play in the mud. Patrick, who made the video for the Rubicon trip, is planning to bring a bunch of video gear (several GoPro's we can rig up on each vehicle, and possibly a Drone) so he can do some filming. I will also bring my gas pressure washer so we can clean off some of the mud when we're done.
Plan on meeting at the staging area at the top of the trials course.
Please post if interested, and check back before going on Sunday, as plans could change depending on whether, etc.

Did you ever figure out what that noise was?
Not yet. I barely made it home. Wheel was seizing up, making loud cracking noise, and i could smell burning as I got close to home. Then to top it off, just as I pulled into my driveway it overheated, and shot coolant from radiator cap and tank. From what I can tell, the fan is not coming on, so I suspect that I shorted it in that last deep pool we went through. It goes into the dealership tomorrow. Hopefully it will all be covered under the warranty. After all, I was just driving through a few small water filled potholes in the road when it failed
I will send an update with what with how it goes. I'm a little worried about dealing with Folsom Dodge again, especially now that Donna no longer works there. She was the only service person there that seemed reasonable.

Whoa! What happened to Donna?
Let me know how it goes because she earned tons of respect from me! Where did she go?

Not sure. The new service adviser (Jeff Garner) only said she left on good terms. I assume it had to do with the change in ownership that apparently happened in May of last year.
Turns out the the overheating was a blown fan motor (as I expected), and the noise turned out to be my front driveshaft. The end that attaches to the T-Case was completely shredded, and the diff end was not far behind. The fan motor was not covered under warranty, but was not very expensive. However, I was pleasantly surprised that even though Jeff acknowledged that the drive shaft failure was a direct result of my lift, he replaced it under warranty without question. So far, so good for new owners, and new service adviser.
I picked up the Jeep this weekend, and it seems to be working good. Ready to hit the trails again...although no more mudding, and this time I really mean it
