Where did you post the Sunday run proposal? Was it at the beginning of this thread? Sorry I missed it.

Oops.

A day run (again) would have been fun.

I'm still fighting smog right now so I'm a maybe for anything this weekend (Fordyce, Rubicon day run). They're running more diagnostics today.

Here's something interesting. Apparently the new JK's sit in a huge Iowa railyard waiting to be shipped all over the country - we're talking thousands of JK's and JKU's. Last month there was a HUGE hailstorm in Iowa that damaged cars, houses, etc. Most of these jeeps were damaged, say over 50% Jeep is now offering these "restored" 2012's as new "used" models and you can get them for up to 20% off. 😯

Any interest????

We won't be able to make this run. Got something else wrong with Green besides the upper and lower balljoints that were replaced after the last run.(Napa did honor their lifetime warranty ) The pitman arm is twisted and the front trackbar may be bent. Got the new trackbar made up of .25 wall dom just need to cut down the spring bushings I have for the axle end. And find a pitman arm that won't twist or crack. Have fun and I hope all goes well.

Sorry to hear about all the problems. I hope you are back on track for the maintenance run! How did you twist a pitman arm on the TJ? I run a stock pitman (it is reemed for the 1-ton joint) on the yellow jeep and have never had any problems. I need to buy another stock JK pitman arm, so thanks for the reminder!

Sue and I might be interested in going, but we would just drive all the way through on Sat and out Tahoe. I would be more than happy to guide you through as far as you go until you camp. Sue just doesn't do the camping thing anymore.

Gee, this is not looking good. I'm ready to propose a two week slip in this trip. An unexpected soccer commitment popped up for Saturday morning. Josh wants to do his BBQ, but I think we need 3 members for an official run. Rob has generously offered to lead a one day trip this Saturday. I assume starting in Georgetown since he lives up that way.

You guys could stop and camp at Rubicon Springs then head out Sunday. You are 90% through the trail at the springs and Cadilac is easy to get up and out. You could take your time Sunday morning and still be at the Tahoe staging area by noon and headed home. John said he might do Sunday, but I think he wants a speed run. Sat. I will run at your speed and get you through the hard spots. Let me know, I could meet you in Auburn, George Town, or the trail head. We can go in at Loon lake or Wentworth Springs

I'm up for a day run Saturday or Sunday. I won't be camping out this time though.

Rockincrawler is the sponsor for this run that others have committed to. Is he bailing? Those of you who committed and made time may want to confirm whether or not your run host will be there. I don't know if "not looking good" means he's still going...

Confirm to be safe.

Sorry for being blunt. I just don't want anyone stranded at the meeting place.

I won't be doing any runs this weekend.

Is Barrett open yet?

As of now there is no meeting place to be stranded at. The run is still in discussion.

It sounded like Josh committed to go with you.

I thought Rob offered to run with you to your campsite on Saturday, and Kevin also offered up to attend a Day run?

I also thought John offered up Sunday as well.

I offered up nothing for this weekend however... embarassed

I am getting confused rasta Am I coming or going?

I am still up for a day run Saturday. Sue hasn't had a chance to get out and wheel this year and wants to go. If not, I guess it will be house and yard work 🙁

I'll go with you on Saturday for a day run.

We can meet in Auburn. Elm Ave Starbucks? What time works for you?

If anyone else decides to go they can meet us in Auburn or Georgetown.

Looks like a plan has developed. Day run on Saturday. Path88 showed interest early on. Rob, Kevin and maybe Josh. I'm a maybe pending getting the Wife to cover the soccer, which is not likely with this heat. Johns out for baseball. Joe and Sue are out. Fred is out.

How does 7:30am at the Elm Starbucks sound. Another option Kevin if it is just you and I, we can run Fordyce if you would rather do that since you haven't been up there this year. The water flow is down to about 125 so it won't be deep or fast. I will leave the option up to you. I am good with both.

Dang. I wanted to run Fordyce as well (though I'm out for this weekend), but I need to get a gas tank skid and install it on my black jeep...

Rob, is a weekday run still an option? Kevin? It would probably be later in September since I won't order the skid until next Monday.

One other thing I was thinking if you were up to it is maybe stop along the trail and hike up to the old mining town and check it out. Thats if we could even find it and if you would be up for the hike. I dont think it is to far off the trail, but I think it would be neat to see it.
