Hey all, I am co-leading a Rubicon weekend trip on June 8-10.
Plan is Loon Lake meet at 7am, on the trail by 8am on Friday June 8th. We will be wheeling all the way in to Rubicon Springs on Friday. We will then camp out there, and head out Cadillac Hill on Sunday morning. Saturday will be filled with hiking, swimming, and general laziness at the springs. Camping is per vehicle at the springs, cash only.
Vehicle requirements are 35s and 1 locker. As well as Posse minimum requirements. If you have 2 lockers, then 33s are acceptable.
Let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns. Please RSVP so I know who to watch for.

Offline Tyler, I'm very interested in this run. Unless something else comes up to prevent me from going, I'm in provided my current tube fender project is done! As long as I can get it powder coated or painted and reinstalled by then I should be good to go.

Sounds fun but the Toblin Ridge run is at the same time. Want to hit the Rubicon this year as I missed last. I'm sure something will come together later. Have fun.

I will be ready to go! Are you planning to do any night wheeling, fishing, shooting, or what? I will probably go up on Thursday afternoon and camp somewhere near Loon Lake. How many rigs do you expect to go on this trip?

There are currently 10 rigs confirmed, that includes you. Another 2 are maybes. 🙂

Offline Is anyone else in our club besides Tyler and me planning to go on this run? It's not too late if anyone else is interested! My son might be going in his 85 Toyota. If you can't make it on Friday you could always wheel in on Saturday and met up with us at Rubicon Springs.

Would have loved too but committed to Tobin Ridge before I new there was a Rubicon Run. If this run was sometime after the run to Fordyce in July I'd go.

I am doing another rubicon run on July 3-4... pretty much going straight from the Fordyce run to Loon Lake to camp there the night of the 2nd

I was going in that Fordyce run and wanting to spend the night so maybe we will tag along. When do you anticipate being out of the Rubicon on the 4th?

Offline Umm... probably late. The trail is going to be crowded, and driving through tahoe will be even more crowded lol. Plan on being to watch fireworks around the lake as you are driving home

Yeah, I figured that. I have family comming over the 4th so I will have to pass. Rubicon will have to wait for me.

Offline Just wanted to let you know that we all made it off the trail and I got home at 3 p.m. on Sunday. I (we - Tyler and Roy?) will provide updates later.

Offline Awesome weekend! No breaks, Roy and Romina (sp?) made it through by themselves, got heckled by the crowd at little sluice, and everyone made it up Caddy without issues!
The trail was busy on Saturday between loon and buck... there were a couple of birthday parties going on with a total of about 50 rigs at Buck. Plus the BFG KM3 Launch was going on, so parts of the trail were "shut down" as the ultra 4 cars were tearing through it testing the new KM3s. It wasn't really shut down... but they had a lead siren rig ahead of the ultra 4 cars telling people to gtfo the way lol
We will give a full update at the meeting 🙂
