The run is about on us. Please post here if you are going on the 3-day trip, or the 2-day (Mon-Tue).
Lee will lead the 3 day run and be providing details.
For the 2-day run, We can meet at the Georgetown market at 8am, or at the Loon staging area at 9am. The two day run will be a faster pace so we can hit Buck Island by early afternoon and connect with the other group.

I will be going, not sure yet if I am doing a 3, 2, or 1 day trip. If I do the 3 dayer, I won't be able to meet that early in the morning. I will have to catch up to the group. I probably wouldn't hit the trail until 10 a.m. or so.

Rob, what day will your run be? Can you do Monday? It may be me you and Justin. I'll just fall off when we hit the group. I think the plan is to stay at the springs on Monday night, so we'd get pretty far with you. Plus, you know I like speed runs... 8)

Monday works for me. If you are staying at the springs, I might stay the night and head out in the morning with the group.

If anybody is interested, there is a group of kids up near Fordyce that would love a ride in a 4x4. They are going to be there all that week. If there are enough people interested, I could coordinate something.

I will be there sunday morning. It is my understanding that we will meet at the slabs at around 8-9 am. I will try to be there then but I get off work that morning and it might be a problem that early. Who is going in? That way I can just play catch up. I am flying solo. If any one need me to bring any thing extra (long Jeep) let me know. Port-a-Potties exculded. And as far as food/ cooking I am bringing a Coleman stove and I hope it is ok to use.

I think the previous post raises a good point. We need some coordination. It sounds like:
Sat - meeting at the Loon outhouse at 9AM? This sounds like Lee and Troy. I don't know where/what they are running to on Sat night.
Sun - Meet at the granite staging area between 8 and 9. The plan is to run in, catch the group and spend the night at Buck Island. This sounds like Don and Bill?
Mon - Meet at Georgetown Market at 8AM. Get to loon, air down and run all the way to Rubicon Springs, where the group will spend Monday night. Are we setting up in the springs, or just past them? This sounds Like Rob and Brad, plus Justin will either make Monday's group, or Sunday's group.
For food everyone is on their own. It sounds like Bill will have a bbq, and Lee may as well.

The plan for Saturday evening is just to get there and relax at the campground area. I don't plan to run anything Saturday evening, just get up there and relax for the evening 😀
I'll probably be bringing pre-made stuff as far as food goes, but may bring along something that needs heating if I can throw it on someone's bbq. Space is kind of limited in my rig, so I'll be packing as light as possible.
