It's white and cold. I'm guessing it starts patchy, gets solid, and ends up too deep for us to pass.
According to the webcam, it looks like about 1 ft of snow will be at the turnoff, but it is probably patches after this week. I guess it will be work just to get to the trailhead. We'll get as far as possible up strawberry, turn around and probably try the main road over to kyburz or Iron Mtn.

We were planning on 830 at my house currently since no one else is going. How about 845 across from the Roundtable where the club meetings are held? There is a Safeway (and gas station) there now. You can look for my yellow jeep and a Silver TJ. We'll gas up there before leaving.
Hope you can make it!
You can show up at our house, or the Safeway. I saw you in your jeep, so I know to look for you.

Didn't make it up too far actually we were getting pretty hung up at one of the lower spots, I think it was one of the very lower water banks and just turned back there. We explored back up the main road quite a ways until we got to a point that the road was pretty narrow and was essentially just a peak on the right side which got pretty interesting when we decided to turn around there. There were a couple of long winch line pulls required to get us all turned back around and headed back down. Good trip though, still a lot of snow up there.

Oh yeah, I think we all got stuck at least once up there, most notably for me was being a jack-ass and digging myself in at the main road playing around in two wheel drive and digging through the snow to China until I got high centered. Lee and I both got stuck on the lower part of the trail where we turned back, Lee was able to winch out and keep going. I tried to blast through his trail and ended up high centered where we turned back and went down the main road. Lee got another good spot where the trail pretty much gave out underneath him and sent him sliding towards a tree 😯 - I think Brad may have a picture of that one. Brad's only real "stuck" was at the turn around point on the main road and wasn't a true stuck. We ended up pulling a lot of winch line to keep him from sliding down the trail sideways and help get him turned around. Beautiful day though overall, lots of sun, lots of snow. Thanks for letting me tag along guys!
