Unless I'm not understanding what you're asking, none of us are "paying volunteers". Last year we all paid for the shirts we got through Trek. This year the message I got was that since we were getting our own shirts we didn't want to buy their shirts.

I am willing to be a "Paying volunteer" and get a shirt. If necessary, just add it to my shirt tab. 2XL please if I can get one.

As of right now I am headed up sometime Wednesday, to try and get the spot we talked about.

Sonia just got the time off next week, so it will be all three of us, leaving on Wednesday.

We're way past the shirt order stage. The message I got was that folks weren't willing to pay unless it was absolutely required.

I will have my large BBQ.

I am BBQing ribs for my family on Friday. If anyone else would like me to BBQ ribs (or anything else) you are more then welcome to throw it on my grill.
If we decide to do a potluck, I will also bring a side dish (corn on the cob) to share.

I am willing to bring a bunch of ribs - I can bring the basted, or plain. What's the plan?

Or, we can bring other items if needed.

"FAM" wrote: [quote="Bender"]Do we want to caravan up there?

Sure. When & where? I won't be one of the fastest on the road with the rv/jeep combo though.

We're going to plan to leave our house at 8:00 am. Don will be our tailgunner. If anyone wants to meet us in Folsom that would be great, otherwise we'll see everyone at Meadowlake campground.

"FAM" wrote: [quote="Bender"]Do we want to do a potluck on Friday night?

Not sure. I'll talk with Teddi.

We're going to plan our own thing for dinner, only because we don't know what we're going to do yet. We'll bring something to share with the group though.

"FAM" wrote: [quote="Bender"] Who is in?

Teddi and I are definitely going. Don still says he's going but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be up to it when the time comes.

Teddi and I are still definitely going. Don just left here with our tent and is really looking forward to going so it's looking good for him too.

WE are in as well. I would like to follow the crew up. Which route are you taking? I fired up the Jeepster for an equipment check and the carb was leaking onto the manifold. I'll try to get a replacement today. If I can't get it fixed we are still leaving early Thurs and towing a trailer for the wife and kids.

Typically the way it seems to work best is to bring enough ribs for yourself (pork - baby back - raw), and a side to share. I don't want to speak for Larry though.

I'll bring garlic bread. 8)

Anybody else interested?

You interested in meeting at that gas station in Truckee again? I wouldn't mind catching up with someone. I'm guessing it's 2 hours from your place to Truckee. 10:00ish?

Last year we had two EZ-Up canapies for shade. I'll bring ours again. If we could get one or two more that would be helpful.

I think Brad has the club one.

Also, don't forget chairs. LOTS of sitting around.

We can bring salad, will have the easy up, and will be heading up Thursday AM. If the plan still holds true, we'll be meeting Lee somewhere and stopping in Truckee for food and gas.

10:00 at Truckee sounds good. If we are not there we will look for you at camp.

Ok, we're getting some ribs tonight. Is there anything else needed for Friday?

Lee is brining chips and salsa.

I got a new tire yesterday from Justin. I need to get it dismounted and get his new tire mounted, then return his wheel/tire to him. I probably won't have time to get the tire mounted on my rig before the trip. I still have a ton of stuff to do. So, I'll probably be driving my truck to Trek and hitching a ride to the Hill in the mornings.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Be sure to check the weather and pack appropriately. Looks like it might be cool and possibly raining.
