Romika and I will meet in Angles Camp Saturday morning and camp at Hermit Valley that evening. Looking forward to it.

Will you be bringing your Starlink? I bought one but I will be leaving it with Kathy at our trailer. I hope I can use your Starlink so I can check on her Saturday night and Sunday morning to make sure she is okay since she will be camping alone that night.

Good morning! Update for the slick rock/deer valley run. Kelly will be meeting us at the campground Saturday afternoon and would like to host her bbq that night. She will be bringing Chili and brats, hotdogs and buns. Stacey will bring potato salad and hopefully cookies! Feel free to add to the list, and since we are camping everyone should have plates bowls and utensils. Can’t wait to see everyone soon!

Mother nature strikes again...  Rolling out in the morning for the East Coast. Was really hoping to make it. Have fun and make sure Dale keeps the wheels under the truck.

I was wondering if you might get dispatched. I still consider this your run because you organized it and it was one of the first runs I did with the club. We will miss you. Have a safe trip.

I don't know what it looks like. Thanks Richard

No problem at all. It is flat and has some large campsites and is immediately off of Hwy 4.

As some of you may have noticed, we have put up our Jeep for sale. As a result, we are opting out of doing the Deer Valley run. Lynda has to work that day & I have arranged to hitch a ride with someone else. Sorry for the late change, but we simply don't want to put our Jeep in jeopardy of any damage while it's up for sale.

Errrr getting through on HWY 4 could be interesting. There are som super tight switch backs after lake alpine. I would recommend driving it first before trying it with the trailer.

I’ll bring a 24 pack of plastic utensils, one costco mini cookies tub and some of those candy bar things I had at Sierra Trek as well as some paper towels for napkins/whatever.

I called the Calaveras Ranger District to confirm what I found online, and campfires are permitted at Hermit Valley campground with a valid campfire permit. The campground is in the low fire danger zone in that ranger district but the ranger said that they have had some small fires lately and asked the we be very careful. She initially told me that they preferred people not have campfires even though they are permitted and I told her that I had been an assistant fire chief and that we would be very careful.

I believe Greg and Ski are the only ones planning to camp on Friday night but I see Ski mentioned bring his trailer to Hermit Valley. Can you both confirm what your plans are for Friday night and where you plan to meet us Saturday Morning. FYI, I will be driving from the Blue Lakes area off Hwy 88, through Markleeville then past Hermit Valley campground and then to the trailhead on Saturday morning. If you plan to have a campfire Friday night, be sure to get a campfire permit. I believe Sandy Flat campground is a hosted campground so I believe you should be able to have a campfire there as well. It should be posted and you can also check with the camp host. There are no fees at Hermit Valley but Sandy Flat is $25/night.

Two things. I was thinking I need to feed everyone to become a club member.

I was thinking maybe a lunch along or at the end of the Deer valley

trail might work, what do you think.

I am not going to be taking the trailer up after all. I was tiring to get the Mrs. up there.

Nice try ,it didn't work.

I think I will go up Saturday morning now and meet at Angels Camp
