ep5 snow gauge is down to 20" at 7,800ft and 50 is open to one way traffic. Weather is, on the other hand, looking cold and possibly wet. Very cold (30s-40s) once we climb up to 6000+ft. Dress warm, bring gloves.
I'm interested to see how far we can make it in and the condition of the trail. We may have plenty of work at lower elevations.

We are home also, it was another successful Posse maintenance run. We got some good cutting and clearing in today. We had fun everyone had a great can do attitude and than made for a great day. The weather was great sun, clouds and the occasional snow flurries. Thanks Kris for organizing the run. And thanks to all our posse family for another great day on the trail.

I got home around 6:30 after running some errands first. It was a great day. Not too cold, no rain, some sun and some snow. The chainsaws got worked some as well as the loppers. I dented my right front fender on a tree, and v-rock ate my rear driveline. That's twice in a row my rear driveline was taken out there. Not a major problem, I took the rear shaft out when we got to hwy 50 and drove home in front wheel drive. I need to figure out how to protect the driveline for future runs. Overall, it was a fun and productive maintenance run.

Was your driveline way off balance?

Great run with lots of attendance, great weather until the end, many trees removed, 6 or 7 water bars repaired, all rigs through V-rock, one damaged rear driveshaft, one broken tail light, and one broken rear brake line. I was able to reachout to the guys who were on the trail the day before us who posted pics online and invite them to help on the next maintenance run while informing them that the trail is closed. I was also able to get the map on Nor-Cal 4x4 facebook page updated to show the trail being closed. I will be preparing my report to Kyle and getting an update on the forest service plan for this summer/fall on trail repairs.
Please post up your pics to the gallery, they make my reports pretty and actually get the forest service to read them.
