I was hoping we could try to plan our schedule and make it.
Personally, instead of keep making a date and then canceling, I think we need to wait until it warms up a bit, for more then 2 or 3 days. And let some of the snow start melting, so we can get a better idea of when to do this. Just my opinion.

Sounds good to me. I just recall some people needed lead time to request days off work.

yea...for now, at least. Things in the arts industry as sketchy, at best and SF is not immune to the problems. God only knows what will happen, LOL. At least I can go to work for my wife if things go under :p

I ran strawberry this past weekend while up at my cabin.
The trail has a lot of overgrowth on the lower end and several trees that the snow bent over the trail that will need to be cut back. There are a couple of fallen trees in the trail too, but those have been cut by previous people who ran the trail. I was solo but with my wife and daughter. We were taking it easy crusing up and ran in to a YJ and a CJ so we followed them along up to V-rock. At that point we found an islander YJ on the new KM2's trying V-rock (unsuccessfully). There was a lot of water up there. He backed out so a group fo three (LJ + 2 FJ 40's) to come down. They took a long time to get across V-rock because one of the FJ's was broken. After clearing the CJ asked if I'd try to make it up first, so I ran up it, and then parrked and helped the other two get across. After that we got to the normal hill where there's deep snow. A full size had just been the first to make it up. We could have made it by winching (I wasn't aired down), but I decided to pull over and let the YJ have some fun with it. After a while we all turned around and headed down. No problems.
The lower part of the trail could be worked if the club wanted to set something up but we'd need loppers and a couple chainsaws (they don't need to be big saws from what I saw). We'd also need some older straps or chains to move some of the logs dropped on the trail. Finally, the lower culvert is blocked and water is running over the trail. This needs to be fixed fairly quickly. This is the culvert below the waterfall. Last year it was the culver just above the waterfall that was blocked.
It looks like we're getting in to that window where we can run the snow up top and maintain the lower trail if we're interested.
What does everyone want to do?
