I ran Strawberry two weeks ago and hopped right up and over V Rock with my little 33's and a limited slip rear end (Yoda's had been there stacking rocks). Tried it again last week right after a Saturday morning thunderstorm and slid right off the rocks; had to get the high-lift jack out to stack rocks under the tires... I ended up turning around with my tail between my tires.

You just never know about Strawberry

Hi George!!!! 😀

Wait! George is out running trails again????

How about calling some of us to go with you! I'd have run strawberry with you.

Glad to hear you're back around. Plus, with me, you'd have been strapped right over!

Hi guys!

Great to see everyone is still around! Life has settled down enough fo me to spend some time and money on the Jeep. New radiator, ball joints, tie rod ends; had to take it out and see how it did.

Is there room for one more on the maintenance run? I'll sign the liability form and take the southern half! 😀

I'm looking to participate on this venture. Will most likely go in an open seat. Path 88 said he was planning on going, so if your seat is not spoken for or what have you, I'll gladly take it. Otherwise I'll scrap for another. wink

I'll have at least one open seat for this work.

That being said, I will be heading down around 130 PM to do some work at my cabin. If you leave your truck at Fresh pond, you'll be standing around at my cabin while I do an hour or two's work - or you can hook up with a worker on the trail and ride out with them.

I'm fine either way.

I'd like to take the Cherokee ... but it appears I might need some strapping help in a couple of places. If that's OK, I'll have a spare seat.

Why would I have to stand around? Would it be plausible to be standing around beer ? You don't allow others to touch your cabin?

Jeff offered his seat. Thanks guys.

Glad to hear you can make it! Too bad you can't stand around at my cabin!

Timing actually sounds perfect. Gets me home at a reasonable hour to take care of some stuff around the house. 8)

Bring gloves and loppers, plus chainsaws, garbage bags, trimmers and clippers.
You can also show up, leave your car at Fresh Pond and grab an empty seat from someone going up.
We'll have waivers for non-club members to sign at Fresh Pond.

See ya there! rasta

Since this is my first experience with this sort of thing, is this a 4-6 hr effort? Dependent on amount of work? Decide when we arrive? If this was already mentioned elsewhere, please thump me in that direction.

Thanks

I just received some news, and due to some personal issues that need my attention, I will not be able to make this run on Sunday.

Depends on the number of people going and the amount of work up top. Loppers and saws make work faster. There isn't much trash to pick up. Mostly I saw trail clearing as the work for this trip, but that was only when I ran the trail and not from being on the spring maintenance run.

Usually, there is a stop for lunch, so I'd expect at least 4 hrs work.

Count me in for this maintenance run. Also I would like to do my member BBQ. However their is a catch. I'm not a cook. I will bring stuff to make sandwiches, bread an assortment of meat and cheeses and condiments. Please respond to this thread by Friday so that I can figure out how much to bring.
Regards,
Josh

Everthing you propose is fine by me! What should the rest of us bring if you're doing the sandwich fix'ns?

I'm solo in my jeep. Please count me as 1!
