I wish I would have seen this 10 minutes ago. I just dropped a double batch of brownies in the oven. I hope people like chocolate and sugar! What are other folks in for?
Ronie also made an upside-down German Chocolate Cake.

Carl, aka Wh1t3nukle was our camera man. I didn't have a camera with me unfortunately. 🙄 I hope Carl posts Jeff's recover up.
😛
Edit: the link was to a Rob Schneider skit on SNL. It was to say...that I'm "making copies" working on getting this media up. lol
Here are the still photos I managed to get. Videos....will be in progress. I took quite a bit.

Anyone with pics could you please post with the link here. I do not know how to do so on a " normal " computer. I will ask the trailmaster to help.
We had a good sized turnout for the Fall Edition. We did not do the " split Run " in its normal mannor as we had reports of 3-4' of snow on the Caples Lake side. A volunteer group of Jeff,Carl (Whiteknuckle),Greg,Richard and John were tasked to go as far up as they could, turnaround and work there way down. The rest of us would start at the bottom and work up to them. So much for plans, Richard bent his tierod at the waterfall section. After getting his rig off to the side richard and john elected to stay and work on it while the others continued on. After an hour or so of trimming and cutting we caught up with Richard and John at the waterfall section. His tierod looked to be about as good as it was going to get so to avoid any more stress on the repaired part they grabbed an empty seat and continued on with us. Oops this was at the remains of V-Rock before pinch Rock. ( Yes Jeff, that IS a pinch rock not a misplaced cat toy ) The wet rocks and mud gave us a bit more of a challenge. Tom and Josh were happy to have their new Toyo's and Mtr's. They both did fine. A fair amount of new snow made for a fun trip. We eventually caught up with the lead group which got to about to the turnabout before they started working their way down with chainsaw and clippers. FOODER--- lunch was great. Sandwiches was a great idea and was well received. Josh did a great job and I can't remember all the choices except for the peppered salami and cheddar cheese. We also had salad, chips , drinks, cookies, brownies, upside-down german chocolate cake and lots of "it's time for a nap's" Josh led us down to our remaining obstacle. Not sure what the proper name is so i will call it a "spring hole " on the uphill side of the trail. It was causing some erosion and created about a 30" vertical in the trail. We are grateful to the young bodies that helped load rocks into the back of Jeff's truck as he came down the hill. After placing them I think it will help keep people on the trail. Rather than going off trail trying to avoid this spot they may see it as a mini obstacle. More work to be done here in the spring. If you run here with only 18-24" of snow on the ground remember the is a big ish rock in the middle of the stream crossing before v-rock. I hope to remember to bring my portable warn winch to remove it in the spring if it is still there. I had a really good time on this run, hope you all did too. Thanks to our guests for the help. Yes, and to all the "spotters" along the way. This trip was definitely a big "boost" to the confidence level for me and my rig. And this trail is easy? Man ... do I have work to do!!

I had a fantastic time, no doubt. The nub going on a power run with Path 88 was quite the schnicker moment. FWIW, I gotta know what that beast is doing. Some great tips picked up for sure on this sponge.
I posted still photos a few posts up on this thread. I've got about 23 video clips and with some brief review am thinking of making into a 3 or 4 part series. There isn't much footage out on YT about Strawberry Pass, much less some description/commentary. I thought maybe this might be a good opportunity to attempt on upping that perspective and possibly plug the club.
Would the official people(s) mind PMing me any concerns, thoughts, guidance in this regard as I don't want to over step.
Aside from that, looking at the list of people and their rigs, I request (if you want) that you PM me or w/e way you wish some basic information about your rig. Information that you wouldn't mind being mentioned in the video. I'm not sure how you to implement it, whether annotation, credits at the end, or in the shot of your footage, etc. However, I think it might be a nice touch as people see footage and have an idea of rig capability. I have footage of most of Vrock going down as a group. I also have of finder_87 and RockinCrawler going UP Vrock, including the tie rod burp.
Maybe I'll make a separate thread for this aspect.
Joe, thanks for the guidance and chit chat. I had a great time!

The topic of uploading to FaceBook for all to see and might be interesting. As a club "tool" I can see some opportunity. However, if it is going to be a club tool it would be best to fall under the club operation like the forum. I'm sure there are issues to be addressed at the director/officer level on this and that is a topic for another day.
