Hey all! A couple of people last night asked if I could post this info here...
I am leading a snow run with my other club on April 21st. I just looked over the weather, and there should be some good snow at Uncle Toms this next week (WOHOO!!!). Everyone here is invited! We love having more people to wheel with. Jaimie went with us on our last run I did up to wrights lake rec area, and he said they weren't too bad lol
I will coordinate the Posse peeps from this thread, so please post on here if you have any questions 🙂
So details below!
Hey all you snow lovers out there! It is looking like we are going to have 2 more snowfalls this week in Georgetown!! Which means there is going to be some awesome, sunny, snow up to uncle toms cabin on Saturday for the run!
This run will be your typical snow run. We will meet up, go up the road a ways, air down, play in snow, have lunch hopefully close to uncle toms, go play in more snow, head out, air up, help a jeep put a wheel back on, then go home!
It is a day run, which means an early start for bay area peeps. Because of this, we will have 2 meet up times! The first is 6am at the Wendys in Manteca! Darrel will be my cohort that will heard the cats in Manteca, so please please make sure you get in contact with him on the Ham radios or cell if you are running late (his callsign is K6DRL). We will be LEAVING MANTECA BY 6:30AM, PLEASE BE ON TIME. If you are late, get boogying towards the 2nd meet up spot.
The second meeting place will be in Georgetown, downtown mainstreet at 9am. Driver meeting at 9:30am, leave by 9:45am. If you are late to this meeting point, catch up or reach us on the ham radios (info below). There is a great grocery store with an awesome sandwich deli in Georgetown. If you plan on having a sandwhich made for lunch, please plan on being a little early as it will take a while for them to make 30 sandwhiches.
Vehicle requirements are 33s with good tread, and 4x4 with a transfer case. Lockers are not required, as there should be plenty of rigs to break trail and pack in the snow.
