This is a Cal4wheel event January 11-13 and was curious if anyone is going or has before and has input.
You'll see details in the latest InGear magazine (got mine today) or website.
Thanks

I've done it once before on a Prerun of the frostbite extreme. It was fun. The event is a good size crowd so be sure you're ok with that and a lot of people getting stuck. I'd probably do the night run if I went.

Yeah I definitely see the potential of the multiple sticks and such, but hey you gotta do some LOLing on such a run right?
My thought was definitely to do the night run on Friday.
Saturday -- Hard to figure which one to submit given not knowing the area.
Sunday -- Toss up.
Huck, mind sharing what run(s) you'll be submitting?
Looks like if a group desire to run together that trail submission has to be done all together. If it works out there are enough here interested in attempting to run same trail together, I'll offer to organize in talking with facilitators of Winterfest. With the timing, maybe would like to know interest in next week?

I've never been. It was pretty much in my back yard for a while but I never went. I'm antisocial and too bitter to support just about anything Cal4Wheel. I think someone should go, figure out the routes, and take the club. 8) I'd rather winch/shovel for friends.

I knew I liked you 😈
Now if we could just get you to vote more conservative. . .
I used to wheel a lot. . .

I wanted to follow-up to this but have been crazy busy the last few days.
If you want to do the night run its loads of fun but when i went we got home around 4am. With Saturday trails starting at 7 or 8a its rough doing a Saturday trail as well or maybe I just like my sleep.
Here are the trails I will be signing up for on Saturday in order. (they ask that you make a trail and an alternatvie)
1) Frostbite Extreme
2) Avalanche, Klondike, or Siberian

Jeff You can sign-up at Cal 4 wheel.
I have officially registered for Frostbite Extreme. I have a friend of mine from Grass Valley named Nate and we have both signed up for Frostbite Extreme on Saturday. Nate has a very capable JKU on 37s. Frostbite Extreme is limited to 20-25 rigs so don't wait if you want to go.
Thanks,
Huck
