I thought it would be fun to document swapping out my 318 for my 360 in my 1985 Dodge.
This is the 360 cleaned and ready to change oil pump and put a double roller timing chain on
Got the Chain and pump on
got timing chain cover and water pump on and ready to put intake manifold on
intake manifold and valve covers are on and ready to paint
Lew Painting the engine Chrysler Hemi Orange of course (Ha Ha)
318 before starting removal
radiator is out, intake is off distributor is out and water pump is off
more to come later

I got a little farther along on the truck today, the transfer case, transmission and engine are all out, now only a open hole where it all should be. The orange engine is the 360, ready to go back in
Lew and me pulling the 318 out
Victory, the 318 is out
the empty engine compartment
the NP 205 transfer case and NP 435 transmission. (Man they are heavy)
I found that both engine mounts,( the rubber biscuits,) were ripped in half, got to replace those and put in some kind of travel limiter to prevent future problems.

The delta pumps take water from everywhere up north. Hell LA will take water from the Klamath River Watershed through a canal that runs from the Trinity to Sacramento rivers. Once it is in the delta they call it fair game.

Well, got a little more done today, welded chains to limit the travel of the motor mounts and test fit the engine, I pulled it back out to put on the flywheel, clutch and bell housing
. Maybe tomorrow I will have time to do that and put it back in for the last time.

Flywheel, clutch disk and pressure plate are on
oil filter and fuel pump are on
bell housing and starter are on
putting engine in
all finished with hood on 
It was a lot of work, but it runs great, just have to fix a valve cover leak.
