Since I moved to 35's during fall I wanted to keep things cooler for summer and trails.
The Hood louver was super straight forward.
The cooler was nice because it came with the brackets and the piping. No cutting of lines required. Just disconnect the lines from the ac condenser/ stock cooler and into the new cooler lines.
Next is a PS cooler

Nice! Congrats on the new parts.
I need to do the hood louver . How much time did it take to do this part? Anything not mentioned in the instructions?
It took almost 6 hours. After all the cutting I had to de-bur all the edges and paint them too. Which took time to dry and do a couple coats. Also the cutting over the X brace areas needed to be done slowly!
Another thing that took a long time was because I had to drill 2 extra holes in the louver for my windshield nozzle sprayers. My hood has 2 and I ordered the one with 1 opening in the middle for a nozzle. Idk why mine has 2..it shouldn't.
The cooler is the Mopar one that they came out with..$$ but I like that it bolted right in.

Were you throwing high trans temp fluid code?ordering a cooler this weekend sometime
No I had never thrown a code for high temp nor did the Hot oil light ever come on. I just did it for prevention and hopefully make my transmission last longer!
I bought a temp gun to monitor the temperature in the pan. It was 175-180 when it was 50-55 degrees outside. Now its as low as 125-130. 145 when it was 60 something yesterday

Just a question here from the new guy that's never around.... Now that you have big holes in your hood isn't that going to get a lot of rain and mud in your engine compartment?
I would say a fair amount of moisture comes in from the road anyways. The slits are at a decent angle and the xbrace and some other metal bits are below the openings as well. I don't think a huge amount of water will get inside but with the rain we have had this year....idk!!
